R.W. Hampton has released his newest single, “Living Free,” the second release from the upcoming album My Country, set to arrive late spring 2026.
Where his previous single, “Who?” reflected on heritage and holding onto the land, “Living Free” leans into the restless spirit of the road — the pull of being yourself, wide-open country, and the kind of freedom that happens when you chase a dream. With lyrics about life on the road, late nights, little sleep, and living off “the moonlight, the wind and caffeine,” the song captures the heart of a traveling troubadour (or anyone pursuing their dreams) and the life that comes with it.
As anticipation builds toward the release of My Country, “Living Free” offers a glimpse into another side of the album — one rooted not just in place, but in motion. It’s a reminder that sometimes the road itself is home.
“Living Free” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
Watch for the official music, filmed in Elko, Nevada, during the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering and set to release toward the end of February.
