September 28 – October 1
RW has two shows – Friday, Sept. 29 and Saturday, Sept. 30 – with Belinda Gail, BJ Smith and hosted by Andy Nelson. These should be a LOT of fun with good friends.
The event itself begins on Thursday, Sept. 28.
The Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering is an exciting, fun-filled annual event with Evening Performances, Saturday Daytime Sessions, non-motorized Cowboy Parade, Chuckwagon Breakfast, and other Special Events.
Poets and musicians from throughout the country grace our stage, performing classic and contemporary poems and songs that will bring tears to your eyes and keep you in stitches.

Chisholm Trail Conference
In 1873 a new cattle trail was surveyed to Ellsworth, Kansas by the Kansas Pacific Railroad. The new Cattle Trail broke off from the Old Chisholm Trail at Pond Creek, Indian Territory, turned west and bore to the Northwest towards Ellsworth. A new chapter in the saga of the Great Texas Cattle Drives had emerged. RW looks forward to being on hand to commemorate the new cattle trail journey into America’s West.

and Western Music RendezvousMontana Cowboy Poetry Gathering & Western Music Rendezvous is cordially inviting you to join us August 8-11, 2024 for a celebration of our Western ranching lifestyle and the heritage of the American Cowboy of the Upper Rocky Mountains.
Located in the middle of Montana, Lewistown is everything Western. We are surrounded by three beautiful mountain ranges; a ‘blue ribbon’ trout stream runs right through town; and our Main Street looks much as it did 100 years ago when cattle, lumber and mining were thriving.
We will have 70 cowboy poets and Western musicians and 20+ Western vendors again this year. Don’t miss our red-hot vintage Western $2.00 raffle that everyone enjoys! Be sure to follow us on Facebook to keep up with the latest developments.
Come and join us for some pure mountain air and beautiful Charlie Russell sunsets–and our Montana Cowboy Poetry Gathering & Western Music Rendezvous! We’re “Keepin’ It Cowboy,” from somewhere in the middle of Montana.
