My Country, is a 14-track collection, which fuses songs and spoken-word that have never lost their timeless message. The album is a cross-section of material, both original and covers that center on themes of cowboy life, love for the land, a sense of liberty, and his Western heritage.
Hampton has found his place as a legend in Western music, both a singer and songwriter, which comes as no surprise to those who know this man has been a lifelong cowboy. A native Texan, R.W. Hampton’s songs originated from his time working on ranches across the West.
A lifelong cowboy and native Texan, Hampton draws from decades spent working ranches across the West. At its heart, My Country is a celebration of the values that have shaped R.W.’s life and career—a love for the land, a respect for those who came before us, and hope for the generations yet to come.
